#blackboyjoy was inspired by the three organizations specifically serving black trans-masculine individuals in California.

#brotherhood, pyramid kings and Invisible men created a series of retreats focused on up and coming black trans-masculine identified community advocates and activists.

#blackboyjoy was able to create necessary intentional space and opportunity for such community members to openly explore their sense of advocacy/activism strategically through community mobilization.
